YARD Holiday Hamper Appeal

Help Calgary’s At-Risk Youth Experience the Joy of Giving

This year, the Calgary Police Foundation is asking for gift card and gift donations to the YARD Holiday Hamper Campaign in support of the Youth at Risk Development program.

Many of the youth in the YARD program struggle financially and are not able to buy gifts for their families or enjoy special treats at this time of the year. This holiday season we are giving YOU the opportunity to help our city’s youth experience the joy of giving and have some holiday fun. We asked our youth to tell us what an awesome gift would be and now we have a Wish List that we hope you can help us fill!

This holiday season help us make their wishes come true.

We will be accepting donation items at the Calgary Police Service District offices listed below until November 15th and will be announcing even more drop off sites in the coming weeks. No time to shop? No problem! You can also contribute by donating online on our Canada Helps page.

Learn more about who we help…

YARD is a community-based early intervention initiative funded by the Calgary Police Foundation, and delivered in partnership with the Calgary Police Service, the City of Calgary – Calgary Neighbourhoods, and Alberta Health Services. This program supports youth aged 10 – 17 who are at-risk of gang involvement and criminal activity. YARD teams consisting of a Calgary Police Service officer and a registered social worker work with the youth, their family, schools, and community agencies to help them avoid or escape the gang lifestyle.
