December brought some wonderful news to the Foundation. Nutrien confirmed a multi-year donation to the Integrated School Support Program (ISSP). By doing so, they joined our long-standing ISSP lead supporter TransCanada Corporation, who is committed to supporting initiatives that build strong and vibrant communities.
In 2017, Agrium (now Nutrien) provided the CPF with an initial gift upon learning about the program’s unique and very effective approach. ISSP is based on a holistic perspective which encompasses nutrition, fitness, academic success, emotional well-being, and building a safe and strong community.
“Having personally toured the ISSP schools, I can say without hesitation that this program is special. The holistic and collaborative approach creates impactful and sustainable outcomes for children, and builds resiliency in the families and the communities as well. This is an initiative that Nutrien is very proud to be a part of.” says Rose Lecky, Sr. Manager, Community Relations.
“We are grateful to have Nutrien’s commitment to provide support to ISSP until 2020. Donations designated to ISSP will help keep this critical program operating, ensuring vulnerable youth are receiving the greatest of care,” says Marla Cohen, Executive Director of the CPF.
